About Us

A Journey of Obedience, Compassion, and Service

Dolney Compassionate Center Inc. was born out of a life of obedience to God’s call. Our founder, Pastor Jean Nixon Rebecca, encountered Christ at the age of 9 in 1969, becoming the first born-again Christian in his family. While studying law and economics in 1986 and holding a promising government position as an accountant, he felt the undeniable call of God to serve in Dolney — a small village in Haiti where poverty made daily survival a challenge.

After much prayer and surrender, Pastor Rebecca answered that call and, in 1987, planted Assemblee de Dieu de Dolney in Croix-des-Bouquets, Haiti. The church continues to thrive today under the leadership he helped establish.

In 1988, Pastor Rebecca married his beloved wife, Magalie, and together they began a family rooted in faith. Their son Ricardo has been serving alongside them in ministry, including as a musician at their church.

In 1999, the mission expanded to the United States, where Pastor Rebecca founded the Haitian Assembly of God of Brockton, Massachusetts. As that ministry grew, it became clear that God was leading him to expand further. In 2008, he established another branch in Dorchester, MA — continuing his vision of reaching souls and building churches that serve spiritual, educational, and physical needs.

From these church planting efforts and decades of service, Dolney Compassionate Center Inc. was formed — a nonprofit organization that reflects the same heart of compassion, offering education and food support to underserved communities, both in Haiti and in the U.S.
